Light Rail

Light rail is around the corner.

When we say around the corner, we mean geographically and chronologically. The Mid-Jordan TRAX line is being installed as we speak, with service expected to begin on August 7, 2011. And Daybreak’s two light rail platforms, at North Station and South Station, will make it easy for residents to use their legs instead of their cars to catch a train into town.

The benefits are obvious for people who work in downtown Salt Lake or, say, at the University of Utah Medical Center. After all, who wouldn’t like a smooth, stress-free commute? But TRAX light rail is a great way to get into central Salt Lake even if you don’t work there. Imagine, for example, walking from your home to South Station and getting whisked right to EnergySolutions Arena for a concert or a Jazz game.

As America has become reacquainted with the advantages of mass transit, homes that are near light rail stations have often seen their values increase. It’s not surprising when you consider how light rail increases quality of life.
