Schools
Nothing is smarter than a neighborhood school.
Think how far people are willing to drive to get their kids to a good school. That’s how important a proper education is. Now consider that in Daybreak, your kids can simply walk to school. (It almost feels like cheating, doesn’t it?)
A recent University of Utah study showed that 88% of 5th graders who live in Daybreak walk to school vs. 17% in neighboring communities. With safer streets by design, and kids who tend to walk together in groups, the bus and your car can stay parked.
Daybreak currently has three schools: two K-6 public elementary schools — Daybreak Elementary and Eastlake Elementary — and a K-9 public charter school called the Early Light Academy. The plan for Daybreak includes additional schools as the community grows.
Of course, neighborhood schools not only make your life more convenient, they teach kids early lessons about responsibility and self-sufficiency. Now if only we can get them to pick up their dirty clothes.
Middle School (Junior High) age kids in Daybreak attend Elk Ridge Middle School in South Jordan, while High School students attend the brand new state of the art Herriman High School in Herriman. Both Schools are less than 10 minutes from Daybreak by car.
